VISITING THE PRINCESS

A peaceful and natural city with kind people living there. The place over passing of years, now became a commercial sites. But still didn't lose its charm. Kodaikanal a mountain city in Dindugal district of Tamil Nadu as the crown of Pazhani hills, and known as the Princess of hill station. I have visited it thrice. But anyway the first visit is always the best. The first time When I visited, I was just one and an half years old. So I consider my second visit as my first. It was a sudden plan. We left our house at five in the morning. We went in our own car. Travelling in early morning is always my favorite. I sat in the window seat and admired the sun rise. I saw a few photos of Kodaikanal in google images. It promised me a good trip. For every half an hour I kept seeing google navigation to find How much distance Kodaikanal is ahead. Fortunately during our travel we got a cool shower. Then as usual my rivalry with my brother started. When it reached a extreme level, my father turned the car and headed the opposite way. He threatened us that he is going back, since we were fighting
too much. Two minutes of silence from everyone. After a few minutes he turned the car back and told us that, he is giving us a last excuse. But anyway we know this is What is going to happen! After a long journey we reached the foot of Kodai hills. The car slowly entered the mountain road. The trees started to get dense. We realized that we are going into the mountain woods. The building visible from the window, down the hills started to shrink. The clouds appeared closer and closer. The climate changed into a pleasant cold. The buildings are no longer visible, down the hills. The scenery was so wonderful along with cotton white clouds with peace green mountains and colourless pleasant wind.
I saw a few small houses along the road. How happy the people will be? living in a pleasant climate and close to the flora and fauna. Even the children living there can enjoy this beauty on their way to school. After a very long travel, I at last saw the board 'Welcome to Kodaikanal'. This made me extremely excited. But the thing Which I saw below the board made my jaw open. It was written 'Only 45 kms ahead.' What? Why don't they write this thing at the first? After a long distance I saw a similar board written ' Welcome to Kodaikanal'. But this time I was aware. I made sure there is nothing below the board. I felt relieved. At last we reached Kodaikanal. Even after a five minutes I saw another board 'Welcome to Kodaikanal'. But this time we really reached it. I saw some pics of the resort Which we booked in google. It looked so nice and royal. After a small drive, my father asked us to stay in the car and he went into a small building. I thought he went there to ask about the location of the hotel Which we booked. But a few minutes later he came and asked us to get down and take our bags. What? I don't like twist. But that was the hotel Which we booked. No other option, I got down and took my bags. But the interior designs were so amazing. There was no relation between the interior and exterior look. That doesn't mean it was royal. The hotel looked so simple, cute and comfortable. We know that, simple things are always cute. Our room was a small and with good environment. A double cot bed with a heavy blanket and white bed sheets. The floor was too cold. The view from the window was so charming and a peaceful view of the city. That evening we went to the most popular sport. The lake. When we went there , the sun was ready to lurk behind the green mountain. The lake was surrounded by huge trees. The busy shops around the lake. We ambled around the lake. We also went for gun shooting. After that we returned to our rooms for dinner. That night we were served with hot Idly with spicy Sambar and chutney. The best dinner  I ever had with my family. The next day morning the first place we visited was Moir point. The place was covered with pasty mist blanket. I bought my first selfie stick there. Then we went to Pillars rock. But unfortunately Pillars rock was also missing (behind mist). The lunch time arrived and we went to a small hotel with simple furniture. It was homely. We ordered chicken Briyani and with mutton gravy. When they served, it was too hot and so spicy. The evening we went to the lake again and went for boating. We booked a boat. Due to my request, we booked a pedaling boat. I thought it will be more enjoying. Twist again. Pedaling the boat for hundred times moves it a few metres. The evening we left Kodaikanal by leaving our mind there and taking sweet memories from there.

My request!!
